Giordano Bruno [Latin: Iordanus Brunus Nolanus] was born Filippo Bruno in Italy, [January or February 1548] he lived until 17 February 1600. Bruno started life in the church of Rome as a Dominican friar, but his intelligence and scholarly leaning created a philosopher, mathematician, poet, cosmological theorist, and Hermetic occultist.
