not sure how to title this

Just going to preface this post with a bit of a rant.

I have had quite a bit of freetime in my life, recently, elected to spend most of it offline, maintaing my physical health (something I have neglected to do for many years, which has come back to bite me recently), and trying to excersize my mind.

Realizing over time that my wordsmithing ability has steadily deteriorated since I have left education, as well as an overall cognitive decline has lead me to step back away from certain things and try to rebuild my mind from the top up, and I realized pretty quickly that I held a lot of unusual, highly irratonal beliefs, many of which not too dissimilar to those held by forum members.

Folks, don't neglect your mental health. I see so many people come and go who are clearly in need of a psychiatric eval, and, even if you believe you're in good health, just take the time to go, anyways. You'll find out more about yourself than you believe. I mean, I definitely came away with more than I initially believed when I did a few years ago.

I spent some time looking over the site recently, something that I've broken a habit of a long, long time ago. I'd always ignored the numbers on the site in favor of reading text, and especially visiting the texts cited by the website. Fingerprints of the Gods is next on my reading list.

Anywho, I've been thinking about the numbers present on the site, and I think I've come to the realization, personally, that it's awful interesting that our system of arithmetic is so amazing at describing the universe.

You know, it seems every force is calculable, everything in this universe appears to have some way to break down through arithmetic. The only thing that doesn't seem to be able to be defined by mathematics are abstract concepts. And even then, concepts like philosophy are very routinely described using algebraic formulas, especially when breaking down the logic in arguments and statements.

If you take a pantheist approach to the divine, like I do, the revelation that we essentially use math to dissect god himself is a bit difficult to describe. Disturbing, maybe? But it makes me wonder about a quote I heard once, a long time ago. Something about how mathematics is the language of god.

It's just wildly interesting to me that the only thing mathematics cannot adequately describe are abstract concepts, an entirely human factor.

I apologize if this is a relatively juvenile and underdeveloped observation but it's just something I've had in mind recently, and something I feel that the site frequently seems to head in at the very least the general direction of.

What I'd appreciate is a devil's advocate to criticize the idea. Helps for me to understand if an idea is worth believing, if it can survive enough scrutiny.
