On yet another great trek into the alphanumeric alternative look at life, we find those prolific settlers the Vikings who permeated much of the world, fighting their way across vast stretches of storm crashed brine and inhospitable land masses, were guided in their expeditions and expectations by Norse cosmology and all its portents. Yet again the numeric patterns beyond the longships and those completely hallucinatory horned helmets beloved of cartoon freaks, hold water.
An Ash tree, Yggdrasill, the World Tree grows at the centre of the Norse cosmos.
YGGDRASILL
25-7-7-4-18-1-19-9-12-12
7+7+7+4+9+1+1(0) +9+3+3
= 5+1
=6
Yggdrasill puts down three roots through which it drinks the waters of the ‘homeworlds’, the numeric interpretation of this centric Ash tree above is 6, equally divisible by 3.
One root descends to the homeworld of the gods, the AEsir, one reaches into the homeworld of the giants, the Jotnar, and one rests in the homeworld of the dead.
AESIR
1-5-19-9-18
1+5+1(0) +9+9
= 2+5
= 7
The root that extends down into the AEsir homeworld taps the sacred wellspring of fate, the Well of Uror.
UROR
21-18-15-18
3+9+6+9
2+7
= 9
The number 9 in alphanumeric transposition system is the power number for good or evil and makes absolute sense in this context, as it is the driving force that underpins the power of the gods.
JOTNAR
10-15-20-14-1-18
1+6+2+5+1+9
= 2+4
= 6
Also directly, beneath the root in the world of the frost giants lies the spring of Mimir, its waters are said to contain wisdom and understanding.
MIMIR
13-9-13-9-18
4+9+4+9+9
= 3+5
= 8
Stepping backward a little, logically as Aesir is the main homeworld dedicated to the supreme beings, the gods, it also translates into 6.
However, this creates an equally logical and perfect alphanumeric transposition pattern in the next level down in the spiritual supply chain as it were, from what is effectively ‘the tree of life’ and therefore the other-worldly umbilical cord to humanity, of 6,7,8 and 9.
Above ground Yggdrasill is tended by the Norns, the latter translating into 8, implying that without care the Ash Tree would not flourish, as they water it with pure water and whiten its bark with clay from the spring to protect and preserve it, thus affording them semi-terrestrial superiority in numeric status. In a delightful twist indicating close proximity to the natural world, it is said that the water falls back down to the earth as dew.
NORNS
14-15-18-14-19
5+6+9+5+ 1(0)
= 2 + 6
= 8
Entering into the charmingly mischievous aspect of the Norse cosmology, at the root of the tree lurks a substantially proportioned dragon, Niohoggr, which chews away vigorously in the company of an unnamed serpent, hence the need for for constant gardeners in the shape of the Norns. Scurrying diligently between the two delivering insults, is the squirrel Ratatoskr. In the background harts and goats munch happily on the branches and tender shoots. Here once again, above ground, a pattern involving three occurs whether divisible by or fundamental, overseen by the numerically superior Norns.
NIOHOGGR
14-9-15-8-15-7-7-18
5+9+6+8+6+7+7+9
= 5+7
= 3
Yet interestingly, we find the occurrence of 5, the constant number of balance in the system, where presumably Ratatoskr squirrels back and forth carrying an equal number of insults to both dragon and serpent to whom he is responsible. A veritable diplomat, forced to tread a fine line between two dangerously unpredictable bed fellows.
RATATOSKR
18-1-20-1-20-15-11-18
9+1+2+1+2+6+2+9
= 3+2
= 5
And then we arrive at the oval which defines the 9 worlds, nine because collectively they are all powerful in the eyes of the believer.
Asgard lies at the top of the oval, juggling or perhaps more aptly, determined by its alphanumeric transposition value, balancing the other eight. Also just inside the gates lies Valhalla, where the warriors that died in battle would go for the afterlife and after hours horns brimming with mead surrounded by comely wenches, another form of balance twixt heaven and earth.
ASGARD
1-19-7-1-18-4
1+1(0) + 7+1+9+4
= 2 + 3
= 5
Alheim is immediately beneath and using the system above equates to 9, and as home to the Light Elves is thus a power world, in its most direct sense as an illuminator! -among an all powerful collective of worlds.
On the next level down to East and West, perhaps, is Niflheim - The Abode of Mist transposing to 4, along with Jotunheim - Home of the Giants with a value of 7.
At the very centre is Midgard the Middle Earth inhabited by humans which resolves into 2, the lower order flock if one looks at it through contemporary religious spectacles. Midgard connects to Asgard via Bifrost = 7 the Rainbow Bridge, there is also a school of thought that says given the bridge between the two, that Alheim as a source of light needed to create the rainbows also resided on that same bridge.
Beneath Midgard with the same East West positioning are Vanaheim = 1 and Muspellsheim home to fire giants and demons = 8, toxic Norns if you will.
Next down on the central spine that contains Asgard, Alfheim and Midgard in order we find Swartalfaheim where the Dark Elves dwell = 1 and firmly bottom of the benefits ladder. Although this spine does not appear to be a continuation of the bridge Bifrost.
Heheim stands at the very bottom of the cosmic pile amounting to 8 as the home of the dead.
Curiously, if we were to take the numbers 3 and 6, as designated in the main to the World tree above along with its interface to cosmic nutrition and the cosmology of the nine worlds beneath, which appears to make sense , we find that every number beside that pairing is attached to the nine worlds below the surface of mortal cogniscence.
