Well your expansive vision was not wrong, indeed fury is at the gates of Europe while the delivery of succour and alms at those very same gates shall cease for security reasons, mark my words! So given the recent appalling but not entirely unexpected events in Paris, France also needs adding to the requires-a-saviour list. What a heinous world we live in, our call for change becomes ever more plaintive and acute.

Europe will be in lockdown before we know it, the fundamental principles of the European Union are crumbling like a house of cards. The way things are going, there will be calls for born-again editions of Charles Martel, Charlemagne and the Order of the Knights Hospitallers of St. John.

And yes as you say are we truly in 2015 not 1935? because sadly the far right will prosper on the back of these consistent crimes against humanity committed in the name of a religion no less, meanwhile the nature of such wilful slaughter appears to be totally contradictory to the properly interpreted doctrine of that religion according to moderates. Let us hope moderates represent the majority across the human rainbow of faiths, for otherwise heavy fire and brimstone will ensue. Berchtesgaden will be reinvigorated as Germany's premier holiday resort of choice along with a new work-in-progress Berghof. Far right accolytes will be seen goostepping through Obersalzberg bearing building materials for the construction of yet another Kehlsteinhaus.

I was thinking about this a lot lately. There seems to be a lot of weight surrounding the new Islamic State. I don't know what the future will bring to us, where it might lead in a few years time. As evil as they might be, they are definately following the teachings laid down in their Book, or at least that is what they seem. I wonder about whether or not their ability to spark off the End Times is valid or not, and if so, what form the respective Messiah's will take, for I have no doubt they will form with the other viewed as the Anti-messiah.

I am not the most learned about politics nor do I care to be honestly. What I do know is that we are due for this, this situation has been building for a long time. Every crest has a trough. There are signs all around that seem to correlate with all signs of the apocolypse (Minus the major natural disasters... at least that I've observed) I have no doubt that we are going towards a time of hardship and pain. I also have no doubt that we will exit better than before.

I do not fear this change, even if it means my death, I can always trust my faith and instinct to lead me to where I am meant to be. I am also hopeful that I am hopeful that I am playing the pessimist and paranoid and that this will be over sooner and a lot easier than I believed.

One thing disturbs me. I can respect what they are trying to do. They are people of faith at the core, bloodthirsty zealots, but they are faithful. I wonder if our faith will measure up to theirs. Faith in our strength and the strength of our friends.
