For example, the name, Pontius Pilate the fifth governor of the Roman province of Judaea, who served under the then Roman Emperor Tiberius from 26/27 to 36/37 AD. Pilate was the official who presided over the trial of Jesus and ultimately ordered his crucifixion. Despite that judgement, Pilate’s prominence in Christianity is much in evidence, in terms of his prominent placement in both the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds.

Due to the Gospels' portrayal of Pilate as reluctant to execute Jesus, the belief within the Ethiopian Church is that Pontius Pilate became a Christian and as a result is venerated as both martyr and saint, a belief also historically shared by the Coptic Church, to the extent that there are annual feast days dedicated to the former fifth provincial governor of Roman Judaea, held on 19th and 25th of June, respectively by those ancient churches.

The fact that the 5th Roman governor became a Christian convert, could well be taken as the point of balance at which which Christianity began to flourish. The biblical half-cubit [0.5] measure equalling 9 inches, with 5 as the balance point of a 0 to 9 inch ruler or rod measure.

Thank you for all your worthy contributions to date and following up your private message to DaveD.

As both Systems Administrator as well as Moderator on the Oracle forum, it is actually me who opens Dave's PMs, which I then email to him along with the email address of the sender.
