Listen to the world

Post by O.P.A.L »

The clock so pure
the clock we all seem to adore
this clock we wish it to see more
yet the way we treat this clock
lets it fill with rust
lets it crack and break
it was once such a quite clock
the gears spun and never made a noise
we cared for this clock
but know we just watch it from afar
we never act
and now
it screams
it is corrupt
with the rust that we forced unto it
and soon we will hear only the gears
that noise that some seem to already hear
to see the gears crack
those gears that some could see
but it will all break under his fear
under his stolen rust
that of which we supplied

something must be done
something must be learned
we must change
but no one wants to

I feel like this has something to do with global warming? That is my intake, at least. It's a fine addition to Redbecks recent post.
Then he said, "I lostmyhead" can you see it?

Why is change so difficult? On an individual level, I have been trying to change (improve) and have been failing at it for over a year now. I look out into the world, and though I see much exclamations that change is needed - in the same fashion I tell myself that I must change - but it rarely materializes. If change does occur on a substantial level, it's towards the negative side. Why? Must we reach near-complete collapse in order for us to wake up? Must it get worse before it gets better?

change is needed
change we must
but those who scream
surely are unjust
they cant change us
but they themselves should
for to change our lives
we would bring some rust
for us to change our sins must follow suit
and that is impossible
since we are mute
the world changes around us
but is it our fault
or is it these demons of rust
made by a feeling of just

its not always you that needs change, sometimes its just the people around you who cant understand
But that then begs the question
can anyone truly change who they are
