Its All About Water

Dear Friends: (HI DAVE!!!)

Finally getting a chance to take a break from the chocolate and whip crème cake with strawberries and lit candles on top that is my current surreal existence to stop in and impart one of the things I have discovered.

Recently I came across a graphic novel at the library called "The Story of MU" by James Cordova and Illustrated by Mike Morse. Its a retelling of the Buddhist story about a dog who asked a monk if even dogs could have a Buddhist Spirit, to which the monk replied "Mu".

The word, pun intended, dogged me. Most of all, how do you say the word? what did it really mean.

Finally, It dawned on me. Thank you Dave for giving me the tools I needed.

Beannachtai Tiberius Blackthorne as they say in Ireland, Chocolate and whipped cream cake, candles etc, it might have been your birthday. So belated greetings if that conjecture be true! We are therefore perhaps born under the same sign, you and I.

Water you say my old sprudel, I feel encouraged to add my ten penneth. Water in Arabic is Ma’an, Water in Aramaic is D’MaYaA, Water in Hebrew is Mah’yeem, Water in Sumerian is Mu and a Sumerian watering place is Maltitu, according to Babylonian culture Nammu was the pure goddess of fresh water. In Assyrian water is either Miyya or Maye dependent on its Eastern or Western Assyrian origins.

Thereforem among the ancient languages spoken in Mesopotamia with reference to water, the letter M is prolific! However, the Egyptian Hieroglyphic symbol for water is ^^^^^^^ closer to a row of lower case Latin Alphabet wwwwww than mmmmmm perhaps. Indeed the letter M has been retained in all alphabetic derivatives from what evolved as the Phoenician linguistic conduit into modern alphabets Greek, Latin and Cyrillic, while in the Arabic alphabet the letter Meem continues to provide the ‘M’ sound and in modern day Arabic water is Ma and rain is Matar.

The element of Water is associated with the astrological birth signs Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces, and it also rules the Fourth, Eighth and Twelfth Houses. Interesting as in the Latin Alphabet - alphanumeric transposition we focus our ideas around - the letter M resolves down to 4! Although that is intensely logical with M being so deeply entwined in the word for water in polyglottal terms, and of course each house is equally divisable by 4.

Popular watery descriptions are well suited to this element: fluid, flowing, wavering, easily applicable to individual human emotions, an area where Water potentially exerts its most powerful influence.

Humankind born under water signs are intuitive and sensitive, and tend to feel more intensely than the rest. They are emotional and nurturing, and like a river their thoughts run deep. How things feel is what counts in life, and they often base their actions on senses, rather than on logic or intellect.

Water is also about compassion and understanding, and as receptive talents of those individuals born under the three signs is remarkably high.
