These moved through me (and likewise I feel were not even written by me) before I ever found the synchronistic subject matter discussed here.
It felt important, yet I still don't understand it.

Tepid waters
You calmed my sea
as the crust of the earth settled down
beneath Your feet

You made a promise
that I locked in a box with a key
When I don't trust you
I open a book, and it reads:

"Rainbows are imagery,
but I kept you safe at sea.
When it's hard to believe,
believe You Me."

I looked down, down
I saw Us in a cave
When I looked around,
I saw We could be so, so brave

So you promised
the Light would set us free
but I don't trust you
so I open a book, and I read:

"Rainbows are imagery,
but I kept you safe at sea
When it's hard to believe,
Believe you Me."

You and I

We've been at this very door
I knock, I knock, please answer Me

You have seen it all before
You've been at this very door
Now here I am,

Many months after the above was written, as I was reading information I stumbled upon regarding the Ark of the Covenant, I was thinking of the above
- particularly "that I locked in a box with a key" -
At that very moment, my roommate asked me if an object in his hand was mine. It was not, but the object was a little charm (a box) with a faux ruby on the front. Inside of the charm was, of course, a key]

The cave reminds me that of Plato and humans intimidated by their shadows! And the sea ... the Abyss.

Dear Kazzazz, welcome to the Oracle Forum and so many thanks for your highly poetic post. The phantom third party gifting you the words as a conduit is not an uncommon phenomenon or I guess the word is sensation.

I certainly know that many times when I write, especially when on a roll and the words are flowing thick and fast, I get the feeling that some historic luminary is dictating the words in my head and I am merely tapping the typeface of a Querty keyboard like an obedient scribe. Sometimes actual writers from the past spring from nowhere into the frontal lobe, among my regulars is Christopher Marlowe. He of Doctor Faustus fame, although perhaps I am besotted by the power of his writing in the first place:

Now hast thou but one bare hour to live,
And then thou must be damned perpetually.

The stars move still, time runs, the clock will strike,
The devil will come, and Faustus must be damned.
O I’ll leap up to my God! Who pulls me down?

Returning to your work, the conversational questioning style is not in its very essence dissimilar to Marlowe and Doctor Faustus. Although there appears to be a complete absence of references to either rainbows or the Ark of the Covenant within his work.

Yet that gold-covered wooden chest described in the Book of Exodus also known as the Ark of the Testimony, and said to contain the two stone tablets of the Ten Commandments; along with Aaron's rod and a pot of manna according to various texts within the Hebrew Bible, could have proved a very tricky issue in Elizabethan England. A divided society, where the Protestant/Catholic schism had become a seething cauldron of ill feeling, abuse, violence and a significant cause of premature death natural and oterwise as England and its ‘Virgin Queen’ took the stubborn Protestant stance, forcing Catholicism underground.

Catholics for instance believed Mary to be the Ark New Testament, a belief with a scriptural basis .

With the following seen as the similarities between Mary and the Ark of the Covenant according to Catholic Interpretation of Biblical typology:

The Ark
• The Ark of the Covenant was overshadowed (Ex. 40:34-35)
• David was rejoicing in the presence of the Ark of the Covenant (2 Sam. 6:16)
• David said, ‘Why did the Ark of the Lord visit me?’ (2 Sam. 6:9)

Mary
• Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit (Lk. 1:35)
• John the Baptist leaped for joy in the presence of Mary (Lk. 1:41)
• Elizabeth said, ‘Why did the mother of the Lord visit me?’( Lk. 1:43)

The New Testament was determined to have perfected the Old, and whereas the old Ark of the Covenant had been lost, God in his wisdom had provided a new and more perfect one – an immaculate woman. Thus the Ark evolved from a human artifact of wood and gold, to become the highest honoured and preeminent human creature.
