Thy master Shane said unto Alaric
"Durst thou bid unto knowing"
"Dare I? Yes, I dare to know"
"Dost thou feel the vibration?"
"No"
"Dost thou feel thine shape?"
"Yes"
"Thou must first become shapeless to feel thine movement"
And Alaric did become shapeless.
"Mine hands did not feel formed"
"Did thou feel thine vibration?"
"Yes"
And then Alaric knew.

The second day a master Shane bid unto student Alaric.
"Dost thou wish to feel no pain?"
"Yes"
"Pain makest thou."
"I wish to be unmade"
"Then makest thine warmth cool thyself"
"Sir?"
"Thine makest thou warmth wash thy blood and thy flesh"
And Alaric did, and was unmade.

The third day Alaric slept.

"Dost thou sleep whilst thine warmth awake?"
"Sir?"
"Thine eye's warmth awake and spacious."
"No."
"Then sleep but remain awake."
And so Alaric did, and moved his mind from his eye to his proffesion, and faultered.
"Why did I faulter?"
"You were not on the outside."
"Sir?"
"You must only observe yourself."

The fourth day Alaric wept.

Perchance this Alaric? Alaric I (Gothic: Alareiks - 'supreme chief/ruler'; Latin: Alaricus); lived from 370 (or 375) to 410 AD. First King of the Visigoths from 395–410, son (but possibly paternal grandson) of chieftain Rothestes. Alaric is best known for his sacking of Rome in 410, which marked a decisive stage in the decline of the Roman Empire.

I do admit, this did come to mind. It takes a duel meaning, my teacher in psionics named Shane and my ancient name Alareik. Of course this does share a dual meaning of exactly what you suggest!

The sequence discusses the use of energy (warmth) to commit seemingly magickal acts such as astral projection and healing. I hope that in the future, my students can use this as a guide.

"Why doth thine weeping peruse thyself?"
"I do not know"
"Dost thou weep for not knowing?"
"I weep for what I know, perhaps"
"Thine weeping is for not, stop."
And he became enangered.
"Emotions are for not, stop."
"Thy words are not, Shane, stop!"
"Become like an observer, and view your mind."
And he did.
"I need not weep."
And he did not.

The fifth day Alaric ate.

"Why dost thou bring such provision?"
"For sustenance"
"Thou needst not"
"I must eat or surely I wilt die!"
"Indeed, but not this."
And Alaric stopped.
"Feel the warmth of thine outside inside, and feed with thine eyes."
And Alaric did.
