The Number Seven In The Holy Bible
The number SEVEN is one of the most significant numbers in the Holy Bible.
This a chapter from the book,Biblical Mathematics by Evangelist, Ed F. Vallowe.

When man began to analyse and combine numbers, he developed other interesting symbols, he took the perfect world
number FOUR and added it to the perfect divine number, THREE and got SEVEN, the most sacred number to the
Hebrews.It was earth crowned with heaven -the four square earth plus the divine COMPLETENESS of GOD. So we have SEVEN expressing COMPLETENESS through the Union of earth with heaven. This number is used more times than all the
other numbers in the the Word of God, save the number ONE.

In the book of Revelation the number SEVEN is used throughout. There are SEVEN churches, SEVEN Sprirts,SEVEN stars,
SEVEN seals, SEVEN trumpets, SEVEN vials, SEVEN personages, SEVEN dooms, and SEVEN new things, SEVEN symbolises
Spiritual Perfection. All of life revolves around this number, SEVEN is used over 700 times in the bible, It is used 54 times in the book of Revelation.

The whole Word of God is founded upon the number SEVEN. It stands for the SEVENTH day of th creation week and
speaks of the Millennial Rest day. It denotes COMPLETENESS or PERFECTION.

In Leviticus 23:15-16, the number SEVEN and the Sabbath, which was the SEVENTH day, is connected with the COMPLETE. The word COMPLETE follows after the words "SEVEN SABBATH"(Seventh day). The day following the SEVENTH sabbath there was something NEW that took place.

The word FINISHED is also connected with the number SEVEN, in Revelation 10:7 we read, "In the days of the voice of
the SEVENTH angel, when he shall begin to sound the mystery of God be FINISHED.

"It is DONE" is another expression found in connection with the number Seven.
And the SEVENTH angel poured our his vial into the air, and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven,from
the throne saying "It is DONE"(Revelation 16:17)

The word CREATED is used SEVEN times in connection with God's creative work.(Genisis 1:1, Genisis 1:21;1:27(three
times); 2:3 and 2:4) . God created all the week and most, if not advanced nations reckon time in that way; SEVEN
days to the week. Few ever stop to why there are SEVEN days in a week. Do atheists and infidels give God and the bible credit for it.

There are SEVEN notes in the musical scale. All other pitches are only variations of these. When the musician uses
the eighth note he got back to "do" and starts over. Man named the notes but God fixed the sounds, even as God fixed
the days of the week, and man named them.

Noah took the clean beasts into the ark by SEVENS(Genisis 7:2) SEVEN days after Noah went into ark the flood came.
(Genisis :10) Peter tells about the long-suffering of God waiting in the days of Noah.(IPeter. 3:21) Those SEVEN days
COMPLETED God's time of waiting.

Before Aaron and his son entered their priestly work they were consecrated SEVEN days.(Leviticus 8:31-36) Here is a

In Greek mythology, the Pleiades were seven sisters who were the companions of the goddess Artemis. These sisters were named Maia, Electra, Alcyone, Taygete, Asterope, Celaeno and Merope. Their parents were Atlas, a Titan who held up the sky, and the oceanid Pleione, the protectress of sailing. According to this mythology, the seven sisters were transformed into a cluster of stars ( The Pleiades located in the Constellation of Taurus the Bull), and chased by a huntsman visible in the Orion constellation. Orion's (Named after Orion, a hunter in Greek mythology) seven brightest stars also form a distinctive hourglass-shaped asterism, or pattern, in the night sky.



The earliest known depiction of the Pleiades is likely a bronze age artifact known as the Nebra sky disk (seen below), dated at approximately 1600 BC. A number of Greek astronomers considered them to be a distinct constellation, and they are referred to in Hesiod's 'Works and Days', and in both Homer's 'Iliad' and 'Odyssey.'

They are also mentioned three times in the Bible (Book of Job - Job 9:9 and Job 38:31, along with the Book of Amos - Amos 5:8).



Other notable groups of seven include the Seven Wonders of the World, the Seven Sages of Greece and the Shichi Fukujin (Seven Gods of Fortune) of Japanese mythology.

In European folklore, the seventh son of a seventh son is believed to possess special powers. The seventh son must be preceded by six brothers, with no sisters born in between, and whose father is also a seventh son. Such a child is said to be gifted with the power to heal diseases. In Ireland for example, the seventh son of a seventh son is also believed to have the power to foretell the future, in addition to his healing abilities.

The Seven Deadly Sins

Sins have always been popular areas of focus in the church, an early 2nd century document, the Didache, consists of
a list of five. Origen produced a sevenfold list and at the end of the 4th century Cassian amended this sevenfold list.
Eventually, the Seven Deadly Sins(or vices) we know today were defined in the 6th century by Pope Gregory the Great,
as a set of negative values that you were supposed to adopt is that you will avoid these things and actually adopt
their opposites.

1. Pride is an excessive belief in one's own abilities.
2. Envy is wanting what others have, be it statues, abilities or possessions.
3. Gluttony is the desire to eat or consume more than you require.
4. Lust I a powerful craving for flower, power and money.
5. Anger is the loss of rational self-control and the desire to harm others.
6. Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain.
7. Sloth is laziness and the avoidance of work.
Note how many of these are similar; envy,gluttony, lust and greed are all about desire, there is also a hidden lack of
concern for others in at least envy and anger.

As with other religious rule sets, these pretty much hit the nail on the head in terms of a system for social
harmonisation or social control, depending on your viewpoint. Few people will openly admit to any of them, which
attests to the success in the inculcation of these as anti-values in the Christian world.

The number 7 by the way is not only a cabbalisric magical number, it also just happens to be the size of our short term
memory, which is a real limit to the number of things we can hold in mind at one time.
