I am also rather new and I don't quite understand what this website is about either.
If we don't understand together isn't the the next best thing to understanding.
People say differently similar things about this website, but I reckon it's a library of peoples thoughts and ideas, by sharing these we can learn about each other and thus learn about ourselves.
The best advice I got about learning about this website, I think it was from Redbeck, was along the lines of just read it, put the time in, browse old posts on the forum and of course read the larger eht namuh website
