Secret Magick Schools of Fish, endless dreams whisked, in a flash they are missed
The boy stumbles through the old brick halls and corridors as the older inmates and professors study the brick work and a group of teens graffiti an archaic wall soaked in moss.
None knew what it call cost, at night you’ll hear an initiate weep, at dawn Apollo’s crows laugh with the roosters as another days song plays.
A professor awakes in a mess of his papers wading through his life work and inversely empty glass bottles that clink and chirp like a ball and chain with wings. Rubs his stubble and begins his work.
In the basement lies the chemist who has not slept in a week, mixing feverishly to find the key he ever so needs, crippled and raddled with disease playing the raffle and wheel of fortune if he is to harm himself again or find the art the world may enjoy.
A bird sits near the clock tower, watching the sky crack open and spill over the clouds.
A couple walks into through the courtyard, both feeling the burning to embrace in dance and leave each other in absolution and oblivion, they do neither, and accept their purgatorial waltz as they go to their respective works.
A lone boy is running from roof top to roof top, doodling the beautiful sights, documenting his journey, he rests in his run knowing the day ahead is prepared for him no matter what happens. With a stark cold breath and the exhalation of pluming vapor he continues hopping
There’s a man with a gun in the bathroom not knowing if today is the day he checks out reality or continues the hazardous cycle, what self respecting creature would subject themselves to this world, Lord knows he can’t change it alone but he has the right to leave alone. The bathroom door slams open, violence stings the air as he watches two sets of feet scramble and a purse fall to the floor a scream shatters his disillusionment and he comes out the stall, still dazed and not feeling real he holds the gun to a man pinning a girl against the wall, in seconds it’s over and the woman thanks the man in tears, the numb dissociative sounds of it all bouncing off and around his skull like a plastic barrel.
He decided to live that day.
The man who was going to mug the woman is running down the sidewalk now, little does the man with the gun knows, that woman had been possessed for quite some time, and she had literally eaten an organ out a child earlier that day. The alleged mugger walks down the street pulls out a book utters a prayer and teleports via portal and glowing sigil to the top of what appears to him to be a school, old brick and mortar, he makes eye contact with one lone boy drawing.
Nearby, near a creek, there’s a girl sitting in the Dawn bleeding through the leaves of the trees watching the creek jog by. She’s optimistic about today for the first time in awhile, she collects her belongings and stands up
