Good afternoon TimeWorms and welcome to the Oracle, what an incisive, riddle of a verse you write, splendid stuff!

Might I ask if your pseudonym derives from a Perdurantists' background, as in you are a Worm theorist who believes that a persisting object is composed of the various temporal parts as well as its physical parts?

If so I would take it that you would also believe that all persisting objects are four-dimensional 'worms' that stretch across space-time, and therefore we as human kind have in the main misunderstood the combined nature of time and form through our acceptance that chairs, mountains, and people for example, are fundamentally three-dimensional objects! If this is the case, I am completely sure that many of us would be interested in exploring this topic much, much further.

Obviously what renders Perdurantism (also referred to as 'four-dimensionalism' by metaphysical philosopher Ted Sider) of such huge interest is that the science theory is equally applicable if you also believe there are temporal but non-spatial abstract entities (such as immaterial souls or universals of the type accepted by metaphysicist David Malet Armstrong).

The image above is a four-dimensional object squeezed into two. This is based on another approach to metaphysical theory taken in 2005 by Deb Roy, director of the Cognitive Machines group at MIT's Media Lab.

Deb installed cameras and microphones throughout his house to study how his new-born son Dwayne learnt language. Over 240,000 hours of video were converted into 'space-time worms', in which non-moving objects were made transparent, leaving 'events' as anything that moved. These were correlated with what was being said. The image above is ten seconds of Roy and his wife Rupal in their kitchen.
