The Shugborough Inscription - O U O S V A V V written between the letters D M, inscribed just below.
This inscription is engraved upon the monument that was commissioned by Thomas Anson some-time between 1748 & 1756, the second version of Nicholas Poussin's Shepherds in Arcadia.
Et in Arcadia - Even in Arcadia, I am - This was also inscribed upon the monument adapted from Poussin's original painting.
Perhaps, as ADVENT 85 alludes to, this monument & its inscription is a cipher to hiding a secret Spanish treasure. Interestingly enough, some breadcrumbs are present here in this ADVENT (and credibly, Wikipedia
)TIWANAKU & Pumapunku (Bolivia) & the Andean deities Tunupa & Viracocha; TZOLKIN & the transit of Venus, the 20-named Kin of each trecena (Mayan Calendar) the cultural genocide inflicted upon the natives of ancient Mesoamerica by the Spanish, including the obliteration of Mayan literature by the Spanish conquistadores and Catholic clergy.
Which brought me back to the Shugborough OUOSVAVV inscription - Under the "Cypher Theories" Wikipedia section on this topic, reads: "George Edmunds in his book Anson's Gold (2016) proposed a cypher encoding the latitude and longitude of an island where Admiral George Anson, Thomas Anson's brother, had buried Spanish treasure. Anson mounted a secret expedition to recover this treasure, which was located but due to unforeseen circumstances remains in place. According to Edmunds, Anson received letters in code sent by the expedition leader which include part of the cipher."

Besides being famous as a working estate with its magnificent house and grounds, it also holds an enigma within those grounds in the form of ‘The Shepherd’s Monument’. The marble relief is based on a painting by Nicholas Poussin, below it is a cryptic inscription that has defied conclusive interpretation for over 250 years." In his 850 paged book on this story, he provides a Trinity Map which as he describes it, doesn't show an 'X marks the spot' but rather a triangulated region of plausibility.
So why does ADVENT 85 also include names of locations & deities from Mesoamerican culture? We are fans of hieroglyphics, stone masonry, & symbolic iconography on this site, are we not? Perhaps there is a direct tie I am missing from the Shepherds of Arcadia monument & these Mesoamerican names of places, altars, gateways, and gods. Perhaps following the cipher of Shugborough shall lead thee on the road to an El Dorado of sorts. Shall ye enter the Gateway of the Sun? The Gateway of the Moon? Shall ye enter the Gate of the Puma at Pumapunku? How shall ye interpret the H-BLOCKS found there? The Staff Gods?
Not sure about the main message of ADVENT 85 but I sense it is a treasure map to another trove of clues & trues.
